Well, and since I've already tried everyone's patience by running a bit long, I should be very quick here.
So really, I have three book projects in the works right now, two that I am planning to finish in the next year or so.
One of them tentatively entitled Infinite Greed, Money, Marxism, Psychoanalysis, which is very interested in closely integrating.
A lot of the work at the intersection of Marxism and psychoanalysis has tended to, on the Marxist side, focus on Marxist theories of ideology and their relationship to psychoanalysis.
But I actually am very interested in exploring, I think at this point still,
underexplored linkages between Marx's critique of political economy and really the economic nuts and bolts of texts like Das Kapital und die Grundrisse, and to do so in a way informed by psychoanalysis and, of course, informing psychoanalysis in turn.
So there's that book project.
There's a book I'm co-authoring with a fellow Lacanian, Lorenzo Chiesa, where it's a sort of debate book
And in it, Lorenzo wants to argue that Lacan, given his hesitations about indulging in any kind of philosophical ontology, in terms of religion, is an agnostic, a very principled agnostic, whereas I want to argue that he's an especially radical sort of atheist.
And so a debate about Lacan's relationship with religion and one of us arguing he's an atheist, the other he's an agnostic,
And then finally, you know, I have this three volume project that I've been working on for years and volume two just came out a few months ago.
And a year and a half from now, I get to step down from being department chair and take an extended sabbatical.
And during that, I'm hoping to get at least close to finishing volume three, which, you know, volume two deals with the ontology of nature that I need for the theory of subjectivity I'm interested in defending.
And then the third and final volume will be, all right, that theory of subjectivity itself, now that I've laid the foundations for.
