On the other hand, they have the likes of Netflix, Disney, Apple TV, Paramount Plus, Amazon Prime Video, all of those streamers and YouTube.
They are all in the ascendant still and they're squeezing out the legacy networks like Sky, like RT as well, like like BBC.
So.
if i was in sky's camp i might and i was looking to persuade politicians i might try and argue that with the current dynamics both legal and illegal that are in the market you might see a situation that in a few years we just have less and less original irish or british programming full stop because you're leaving the market to youtube netflix and disney on one hand and dodgy boxes
on the other, and where does the money come from?
I mean, the number one thing that people watch on Irish TVs in Irish living rooms is YouTube.
It's not RT, it's not even Netflix.

I didn't know you got Sky Atlantic with that because that was normally...
premium television because that's all the hbo stuff so there is also maybe um a signal that sky in particular but probably others too are starting to adjust to this reality of dodgy boxes and they're starting to lower their prices on some of their premium content yeah
friendly on the wallet and obviously you're not you know you can just say oh the masters is on premier league season peaking i'll just do the month of april they have offers so all that stuff is starting to kind of happen and bear in mind as well that sky is actually the only player who sells a tv package in the irish market left on its own so you used to think about say virgin for example virgin media and then we saw vodafone come in with tv and air air tv and
