No, it's not going to be a normal game.

Normally, again, people aren't really interested in the minutiae of media dealings.

But usually on the Monday of a camp, they would put two or three or four players up for interview.

They'd be spaced out over a couple of days for print and broadcast and online access.

That didn't happen.

Again, I can't remember that happening before, apart from COVID, when it was enforced.

So stuff would have been moved from in person to online.

But I can never remember this happening before.

And it's simply because of Israel, because the FBI...

don't want the players just being asked about Israel.

And I'm sure pressure is coming from the clubs as well.

I was thinking of Leem Scales, for example.

Celtic is a club that would have a huge tradition of support for Palestine, the Palestinian cause.

I'm sure that they don't want Leem Scales being dragged into an issue being asked about it and being asked question after question after question.

I'm also thinking of Seth Hampton, who two players in the Irish squad, another side story, he has Israeli family, his mother is of Israeli stock.

He said before that his grandmother was in the IDF and Ryan Manning, but also Dale Parrott's the goalkeeper.

So I'm sure Stathampton media team had a discussion before this and said they don't want their players doing that because Stathampton had a bad enough few months with Spygate and everything else.

But I'm sure they didn't.

Stathampton probably requested or ordered the FAI that whoever's doing press this week, it's not Fianna Fáil and it's not Ryan Manning.

So they're just trying to shield it, trying to shut down the debate because they know that people... I mean, I think it's... It does seem to me to be uniquely Irish, Will.
