So typically when we hear these sums, they're enormous.
But if we take Fox News's word that they had no idea about this payoff, that means that Pete Hegseth was paying out of his own pocket.
Now, I'm sure he was handsomely paid at Fox, but that leads me to believe that the payoff was not as extensive as some of these 10, 20, 30 million dollar payoffs that you see from cable news networks, which obviously have the operating budget to make these payments and keep it moving.
