So all of a sudden, when you're just thrown into that high performance environment, all of a sudden, you've got like four or five hours at night, you're going and you look around, there's someone lying in the next bed there who you don't even know.
And it's like, what's going on here?
You don't know if you're going to be selected for the team.
You're not getting paid.
You don't know if an injury is going to happen or all these things that come with elite sport.
It just was like, just straight away.
So yeah, that's where it all sort of came from.
Boxing, and again, now looking back, boxing has really helped the relationship with me and my sister.
Like, we have a great relationship, and that's based from boxing because we've been away so much, trained together, lived together, competed together.
Like, it's really created a strong bond and a really strong relationship.
When we were younger, of course, we were competitive.
Do you know anything?
Table tennis, football, there was always that competitiveness that drove the win.
You know, I wanted to win, she wanted to win.
And I think that really helped us along the way because I think in elite sports, you have to be a wee bit competitive.
You have to want to sort of improve and do your best.
So we were always competitive, but it never got to the point where it was overly competitive.
It was always just a competitive to do.
