Connor McMichael wanted to play center.
Uh he was placed on the wing.
They never got really where they were comfortable with him playing center.
And he had a he had a very down year last year in my opinion.
And I and I thought there were there were other areas in his game.
We always look at stats, but I look at
the other things in his game, how he is managing the puck, how he was in the defensive zone.
And he's got a lot of growth in in those areas that he that he's gotta commit to.
So I I look at that, I I don't think they're gonna be missing him because how much they've loaded up with the other guys.
It's not a shot at him, but I thought if they were gonna improve this team, he would have to be the chip that g went on the table to be dealt and sure enough they did it and they used it.
They moved out him, knowing that he's gonna want uh
you know, seven million or whatever it was he was asking for, he ended up getting almost that.
And they weren't willing to pay him that from what they saw over the course of his career as a capital.
Well, th everyone's gonna be expecting results, but when you bring in so many new players and you're gonna have to fit in a lot of top players in that top nine and keep everyone happy.
Just think about it.
You know, we're we're talking about numbers.
They brought in Boone Jenner.
There's a good chance he's gonna be on the fourth line making almost six million a year.
But I he he was the one player of all the players they brought in that I wanted more than anyone for the Capitals.
And you know, he could be the third line center, he could be third line left wing.
