Saturday night they still hadn't heard from Kelly and they were starting to get quite concerned.
So then on the morning of Sunday, the seventeenth, when they woke up, Julianne describes it as just knowing in the pit of her stomach that something was really, really wrong.
So herself and Sean and Kelly, two of Kelly's younger siblings, got in the car and they were on their way to Monahan when they received a phone call from Guardi to inform them over the phone that Kelly had um died.
And that's a really harrowing experience for them that they still are very traumatized by they all heard this on the phone.
Kelly's younger brother Finn was four years old.
He heard it.
Her younger sister Poppy was in the car, she heard it.
They were screaming and crying in this car.
devastated by the news delivered over the phone and from the get go, I think that put them on the back foot with the Guardi because nobody should hear that news in that manner.
The Guardi have apologized since for it, but you know, I suppose the damage has been done.
So that's how they found out Kelly had had died.
From that point, things just got stranger and stranger and stranger as as sort of the weeks and months progressed.
So, from what they've said to the family, from the beginning, there was a working theory that Kelly had either jumped or perhaps fallen from the bridge.
And that's how she ended up in the canal.
Um, there was very shallow water there.
That's something that's really important.
It was a disused canal.
So they kind of thought she had fallen and died sort of through the fall.
Um, so that was the first thing the family were told that it was a head injury conducive with the fall.
