Yeah, I thought so, I thought first half especially, I thought we controlled the game, and it was one of our better performances of the season, I'd say, but obviously a little bit tense in the second half, I think that's just the way things are at the moment, we could have done with a second goal, and I think then if we had a second goal, we could have maybe established a little bit of supremacy again, but no, it was a huge three points, and all credit to the players.
Well, we talked about it beforehand, obviously, that, yeah, it's really important anyway, I think, in the Premier League.
If you get the first goal, then that's the most difficult and it gives you a sort of good grip in the game.
Especially, again, in our position, you know, it was important that we had a good start.
Unfortunately, in the last home game against Sunderland, we found ourselves going down after three minutes, I think it was.
And even though we did fight back and, you know, we can talk about the refereeing decisions again, but, no, the first goal is vital and once we got that, I thought, you know, we played some really good stuff.
Yeah, I think, to be fair, the crowd played a huge part as well.
I think that they sort of just defended every ball that came into the box as well.
But no, it's great.
I mean, everybody's delighted.
But, you know, it's just the start of a long road now between now and the end of the season.
But it's obviously a big step to do.
Yeah, I can resign now with a clear conscience.
But, yeah, obviously pleasing, but obviously for the new manager looking in, you know, he can sort of assess what he sees.
But I would have thought, you know, he would be more than pleasantly surprised with what he saw.
Well, obviously he's got bags of experience, albeit in the Italian league, but he's a very experienced coach and it's probably something that we need, an experienced leader.
We've all tried to do... I think as a management team, we've done, I think, as best as we possibly could and as good as anybody.
I think that we put up some good performances, but unfortunately the results haven't been there.
If he can get the performances and somehow an experienced manager can eke out the results as well, then I think that's what we'll be looking for.
Well, you know, I think he showed tonight, I mean, his first hand, you probably would have seen a couple of videos of the team, but I saw first hand what a really good team we are and, you know, there's still a lot of spirit and there's a lot of ability still in the camp.
