Just feels like a Pittsburgh Steeler, a really physical guy who likes to get in the box and hit people, but also has great closing speed, really good hands, made a diving interception to end practice yesterday.
Thought he was really, really good.
You know, I don't know.
I mean, I think how much Mike McCarthy has already said about Will Howard.
I've always kind of believed it's really hard to develop two quarterbacks at the same time.
You know, those reps are precious resources.
And I think when you try to have two guys do that, you're not really โ
doing a service to either one of them.
I don't know that I like Nussmeier's upside significantly more than Howard's anyway.
I mean, he just feels like a guy who's probably a backup quarterback in the NFL.
Not that I don't think that about Howard, but I think he does, because of his size, does have a little bit more of like a starter's profile.
But Nussmeier has...
I mean, obviously his father is the offensive coordinator of the New Orleans Saints.
Scott Tolzien is the quarterback's coach of the Saints.
He's going to interview for the Steelers' offensive coordinator job when he gets back from Mobile.
Was Nussmeier's offensive coordinator this week?
And for the senior bowl, so lots of connections there.
It wouldn't totally surprise me, but I kind of feel like they're going to at least give Will Howard a shot here.
So if it's not an early round quarterback, I don't know that they would feel the need to do that.
Oh, no, I think that's very likely.
