Definitely very โ almost everyone I talked to over the week said, man, it's weird without Mike Tomlin here.
Not just from a Steelers perspective, but from a Senior Bowl perspective.
I mean, he was a big part of this event, the way he embraced it.
Not every head coach is like that.
Most of them aren't.
And it definitely makes my job a little tougher.
Mike didn't make it much of a secret as to who he was looking at and who he was interested in during this process.
We've got to do a little more digging now, I think.
I think this is a really good wide receiver class.
The best of them skipping the senior bowl.
Five, six guys really at the top of the class.
Seven maybe even not there.
And even with what was left, I was really impressed by the guys that were there.
Malachi Fields, if you're a Pitt fan, you don't really need a reintroduction to him.
He's already had
four yards at Akershire Stadium than all of the Steelers' returning receivers other than TK Metcalf.
He's a big guy, really good combat catch, physical player from Notre Dame.
And I thought another one that really stood out to me this week maybe that I kind of went there thinking Malachi Fields is going to be one of the best receivers there.
