And I think if you ask any of the players themselves, that's what they enjoy the most.

It's being in the same clubhouse, the same dugout with the best of the best guys that they don't necessarily get to play with or against that often.

You'll often hear guys talk about how much they want to play.

pick the brain of this guy, or learn from this guy, or watch the way that this guy goes about his business, and they're finally in the same room for a couple of days.

And make no mistake about it, the all-star break is not really a break.

These guys are torn in a lot of different directions, and there's a lot of demands on them, and there's a lot of things that they need to do.

But they can look around the room and be like, wow, I'm one of the elite.

I, too, am an all-star.

And you just get to figure out different perspectives from different guys that have played the game, guys that are at very different levels in their career.

I mean, you have the Justin Verlanders of the world, and then you have the rookies of the world that are all in the same room.

And it's a really cool experience, not only for the players, but certainly for the media that has a chance to talk to guys that they may not normally get to do.

Yeah, it almost feels like a breakup, right?

Well, you have a guy that leaves the team, whether it's because he chooses to go away in free agency or he gets traded away.

And there isn't necessarily that closure for fans.

And that's sometimes when you see all these little kids crying when they find out that their favorite player, whether it's Paul Goldschmidt or

Or Alex Bregman or, you know, like you said, Kyle Schwarber gets traded away.

Bryce Harper goes in free agency or whatever.

And it is a little bit of closure.

And, you know, I've had a lot of conversations now with Wilson Contreras just because I also cover the Red Sox with Nesson as I now live here in Massachusetts.

And he's very happy in Boston.
