It's just like Carlton are dealing with an unbelievably unique situation.

Well, for a start, we've done the same sort of thing with McCurchill.

When some of these young players come into the game, I just mentioned earlier on that

you know, defence isn't a big part of the game.

So let's, let's teach them a bit of defence by playing them at half back.

And you've got to, you're going to get the opportunity to win the ball and attack from that position on the ground.

But at moments you've, you've still got to be, have to be able to defend in the, especially the, especially the back end.

So,

We played both those lads in the first parts of their career on the halfback flank, knowing for well that they'll slowly emerge into midfielders and guys that can do some more damage in the attacking part of the ground.

And we're seeing that with both of them.

We played McCurtry in that sort of role last week and he got forward and was involved with some of our goal assists and also kicked one himself.

So it's just an evolution thing.

Everyone's got their ideas on where they should be playing and

Um, and they're highly talented players, so they should be put, but some of it is about team and some of it is about educating the player.

And we've had to do some tough yards whilst we've put them in positions where we needed to educate the player for the long-term benefit of both the player and the footy club.
