That Councilwoman Hardy and I went to as far as uh r the re regional wastewater facility plant that w our San Jose and ourselves own co own together and um some of the uh development that might be going up there.

was mentioned as far as uh micros micros Microsoft um data center and they uh some other uh businesses and um I know Councilwoman Hardy brought up the uh the issue of possible power that might be

utilizer so we'll see uh how everything cu pans out pans out.

But any any uh any uh plans would be uh brought to to our board to our council for approval.

I'm coming at this from a perspective of not having had those dinners in the past, but just having worked for over a decade and a half on different boards.

When you have these committees, commissions, and ad hocs, and the way that we've dealt with them at those other boards, you really want them to have...

that independent thought and come together with their ideas and stuff.
podcast-host
And sometimes when we have, whether in those board members, trustees, or in this case council members, sometimes that can influence them in ways that maybe you're not gonna get their input and their voices as much as maybe some of the things that we wanna see.

And I think it's important for

for those boards and commissions to have some independence and kind of give us, whether we agree with it or not, some of their ideas and bring forward some of the community voice that I think that we entrust and empower them to have.

I'm sorry I didn't get it to you earlier, but as far as I'm sure our city manager will use this discretion to do this, but I think just having a systematic way of doing it and not running through exceptions, I think it would be beneficial for the system.
