Look, in the end, what do players and managers want?
That the right decision is made.
Apparently, the right decision was made here.
And if that's the case, I think we can all move forward.
But we would like it for it to be quicker.
Well, I think I speak with some authority as it pertains to a striker that had a long, career-long goal drought.
It builds character.
It's one thing if I say it, but you don't have to double down.
I don't have to double down.
Look, all I would say is what I appreciate from Julian Alvarez is that even though he wasn't scoring goals, the work rate never stopped.
The attitude never stopped.
And I think that's something that Diego Simeone also appreciates.
Eventually the goals were going to come back.
And so to your point, yeah, you have to imagine that in him scoring the goal that he did today, which the opportunity he took today, the goal that he scored today was far more difficult than the one that he missed that was going wide and hit off for Jules Koundé and went out of bounds.
It's a goal of quality.
It's a goal of confidence.
It's a goal that you're thinking, man, all right, look at Julian Alvarez.
In him taking the goal with the confidence that he took today, you would never have thought that he was going through a goal drought.
And particularly after you missed the chance that he just did.
Again, he takes this with so much confidence.
