How useful were the late-night film sessions?
I mean, they're more like, I would call them character-building meetings.
They're definitely to the point where it's useful because you do need to watch practice.
And it does take time to get through all of the practice reps because once you start the new day, you're on to the new install, you're on to everything else.
You don't really want to go into the next day with film from the previous day still looming over your head.
So you've got to get through the film.
The problem was, if you got through the film and there was still 30 to 40 minutes of meeting time left, that's when it became a nonsense session.
Like, that's when it's like, okay, well, let's watch Individual.
It's like...
Do we really need to watch individual?
Like, okay, let's watch this period.
Let's watch walkthrough.
And like, at that point it just became a time waster.
So there was a fine line of like, this is beneficial.
We need to get this done because we need to put the day to bed and we need to move on to day 10, 11, 12, whatever it is.
But if we got through practice, there's just like this unwritten rule where like you couldn't release guys until that scheduled meeting time was meant to end.
Give people their day back.
I could not agree more.
I think the coaches, it's the idea of if I'm supposed to work until 5, the manager is going to come around at 4.58, make sure I'm still at my computer.
Some of that, it's just culture.
