And so I've known Charlie for a long time, and I've attended events with Charlie where the Prime Minister of Israel's son spoke at the Museum of the Bible in 2018 and 2019.

Charlie used to be a major defender of the pro-Israel cause.

And I wouldn't say that Charlie became anti-Israel.

But I believe that Charlie had his finger on the pulse of of the mega movement perhaps better than anybody and he really understood where young people were going perhaps better than anybody and he was picking up on the concerns that young people had with Israeli influence in our political system and he was raising awareness about it and I actually had dinner with Charlie four days before he was assassinated and one of the topics of

dinner actually happened to be around foreign influence.

And we were actually talking with a Korean woman who was upset because America doesn't care about

everyday korean issues and charlie kind of rift he's like well that's because korea doesn't have a lobby and and you know i think that's a fascinating point and he's like you know uh... israel for example as a great and effective lobby and creation potentially if they're concerned about that why you emulate that and uh... so you know charlie understood the the the uh...

Strength of the Israeli lobby and and he but he also understood that they were becoming a bit more unpopular with young people in our country for certain reasons and

I don't believe Charlie was anti-Semitic.

I don't believe that Charlie had any hate in his heart for Israel, but he saw where it was going.

I consider myself an ally of Israel.

I've supported their country for as long as I've been in politics, and I still support their country today.

I just don't support certain actions of their government.

And one of the actions that I don't support is the

attempts to influence American discourse online and through, you know, even text messaging.

Americans.

And so I shared that with Brad.

I don't particularly like far contracts.

I don't take any foreign money.

I think that foreign money should be out of politics permanently.
