huge pretty much frat party out in the middle of a field um but it's four and a half miles 22 fences uh the biggest fence i think is like see how big that fence is holy yeah that fence is taller than i am yeah so that's like they are racing while doing they're racing over this so steeplechase racing is very different than flat racing um i never rode in this race was never that good um but um the man on the right there is a good friend of mine brett um
So they don't start out of a starting gate.
You kind of circle around and start.
And this race especially is endurance and how good you can jump.
I think this year, it's always the last Saturday in April.
This year, I think eight started, nine started, and maybe only four or five finished.
It's very strenuous and very demanding.
It's kind of a secret, Maryland kind of secret thing.
Not anymore.
It's a huge thing.
But there's steeplechase racing, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, the biggest three.
There was a little bit of Tennessee, Georgia, stuff like that.
This is if you went to view this without somebody telling you what it was, you would be like, oh, this is cool, but not that cool.
But if somebody explained to you and described what it took to get there and, you know, the level level you got to be to get there is pretty impressive.
Yeah.
It's a big deal.
