I applied.
No, well, I came up with the idea, I suppose, when my first son was born, where I was at home with my wife and this tiny thing and all my friends were up at the Edinburgh Festival being successful and I was kind of chomping at the bit to...
get what they got.
So I was doing it for years before that and was knocking on the door and we had some success but never enough to make any decent money.
And luckily I came up with this idea of setting comedians challenges which hit a nerve straight away because comedians are competitive and funny.

And yeah, just very kind of feel very lucky and weird that it worked and that it's still going because it wasn't meant to be what it is now.
