He's clearly...
furious about what's going on with the, with the deployment of his Mercedes engine, but he needs something.
He needs some positivity to take away.
And you get, you get that a little bit ahead of the weekend because we're not, it's not going to be an energy starved track for the engines like Silverstone was like spa really was.
It's going back much more towards Monaco, where the driving will be a bit more intuitive, where they won't have to worry about the packs constantly emptying.
But the issue is, if we take Monaco as the one example where the engines perform normally, who was comfortably the best Mercedes driver there?
Kimi Antonelli.
It's relentless for Russell.
Even if he does the perfect weekend, if Antonelli does as well, Antonelli probably beats him.
So he's got a really hard job, but...
It becomes the narrative because it's one of those cliches for a reason, right?

It highlights again just how tremendous these guys are and what they're able to do and the capabilities that they have just to be as good as George Russell is.
And the evidence of this season, if you just look at the history books, there's other guys, particularly Antonelli, who's been much better.
And I have to say, I think Russell is, if you were talking to me at the end of 2025, I'd say only Max Verstappen is better.
And based on the season that he put in last year,
The results, everything that happened backs that up.
These guys are great.
