Um it would be adopt an ordinance of the City of Mountain View amending chapter 36, zoning of the Mountain View City Code to update centers and procedures related to the designation and preservation of historic resources, and finding that the amendments are exempt from the review under the California Environmental Quality Act, pursuant to guidelines section 15 uh 308 as recommended by the Environmental Planning Commission.
To the EPC staff report and adding more clarity to incentives prior to adoption of the ordinance and urge council to resource the incentives proportionate to the maintenance needs of the property on the register and to require a supermajority five votes or just five votes, parentheses five votes, um if the historical district contains a housing element opportunity site given the heightened tradeoff of housing versus preservation.
