2017 Warriors champs, and then unsurprisingly, the 73-win 2016 Warriors, who went 21-2 against top 10 opponents and had a plus 9.5 point differential in just those games.
uh, made the finals.
So I'd say that's much more encouraging for Pistons fans, but this story isn't over.
Of course, looking at the current top 10 teams on cleaning the glass, the Pistons still have 10 games remaining against those opponents.
And admittedly, the Pistons awesome point differential has gotten a huge boost from playing the Knicks this season.
The final scores of those games have been 121 to 90, 118 to 80 and 126 to 111.
So if the Pistons truly are one of the best teams in recent memory against the toughest opponents, they are about to prove it to us because their upcoming schedule is packed.
Just in the next two weeks, they play the Spurs twice, the Cavs twice, and the Thunder.
Now, that particular game not looking like the marquee matchup we were hoping for.
SGA and J-Dub will likely be out.
But those Spurs and Cavs games will be huge.
And so I'll continue to follow this.
I'll give an update at the end of the season just to see how good Detroit was against the best teams.
