But the impression widely and deeply held is that Democrats
care more about the health and welfare of the American public.
And they are fighting a battle on that territory.
And I think that's how you win, right?
Like, you don't have to reinvent the wheel here.
People understand this to be something that's a priority for the party.
And it's a natural extension of party priorities for them to be fighting this fight.
They don't have to pretend to be anything that they aren't.
And so they should take an advantage of that.

I think the fact, I just want to say, I think the fact that Schumer and Jeffries are even doing this
is a testament to the degree to which they want to hold the coalition together.
They're doing this because progressives were like, we're not fucking doing this again.
We need to extract something.
We need to fight.
We need to have a backbone.
We need to go.
And I think that they should be, you know, I think there should be some acknowledgement of the fact that they, you know, they're really trying to hold the party together and they're doing something that is gutsy, right?
