They were very, very leaning forward to help me.

And it came down the chain of command, which was very helpful to be able to testify and share what I witnessed on the February 15th.

Originally I didn't recognize it because I was looking at my radar and so I had a radar contact and decided to go check it out on the Port Bridge Wing

see what was going on just to verify.

We're off the coast of San Diego, so I'm not thinking anything is out of the norm.

We go underway, ships go underway all the time just to do routine operations.

So going out there to check, it was nighttime-ish, getting dark, and I wanted to take a look and see what light I could see because I saw the altitude was really low on my kinematics, on my radar.

So going out there, seeing a light surface,

was a little skeptical.

I've been air controlling for 20 years, so the only thing I can come up with was either a helicopter with a solid light, which they don't have, or something dredging and coming up with a crane, and I was like, it can't be either one of these.

But to see it surface from the water at that distance and continue to rise, at that point, I was like, this, I can't be seeing what I'm seeing.

Yeah, so that one light started moving starboard of the ship, and I'd only seen that one light, so I went to our camera operator, and he decided to, I kind of gave him direction to slew Sapphire.

Sapphire's the

actual system, the camera system.

So I said, slew to this location relative to the ship.

And as he's slewing to that location, that's when we realized this light is meeting up with other Tic Tacs.

And that's where you see the video kick in, where we kind of zoom in.

I tell him, hey, zoom in.

So he zooms in twice to get the one Tic Tac that we were following.

And we start realizing there are more out there.
