And especially as speech therapists, I think we tend to be a little type A sometimes.
Um and want everything in a nice little bow and all our ducks in a row.
I found myself doing the same thing over the summer, like

And I was like, hold up, like you're still working a full-time job, right?
Like you have a parent who's not doing well right now.
Like there's a lot going on.
Like you can take your time with this because the beauty is it's your business.
So I'm I'm glad that I slowed down a little bit.
And I I love that you said that because I think it's so crucial to anyone who's thinking of starting their own practice.
so I never thought of owning my own private practice.
I always thought when I was in grad school, like hearing about private practice, and I don't know if you ever saw the show Private Practice, like I was obsessed.
I was like, oh, is this what it was is this what it's like?
Like this is amazing.
Um so like well maybe I'll work for someone else.
Um so I thought like that was
going to be the journey, like me working for an entrepreneur or a business owner.
And I always in the back of my mind wanted to do something entrepreneurial with speech pathology, not own my own business, my own practice, but I had created a ton of materials throughout my um career.
