I ended up like stepping back, obviously, from my private practice a little bit from full-time to part-time to run the business, the Modern Sanctuary, have kids and all of this.

And now I'm looking at, you know, all these people out there who Instagram, you know, it's like they're Insta celebrities, but I always wonder, I'm like, do they really have clients, right?

And I've worked with some of them as a mentor and they don't.

Right.

And so there's this real discrepancy of how things should be and how they actually are.

And I think that's really difficult, too.

And having mentored a lot of people there, the business side is a very difficult side to the practice.

I think it would start with the training, right?

I really do think it would start with, let's give everyone really good knowledge, really empowering knowledge.

And also let's teach you some of the business side of it because it's really important.

Um, I think I was really lucky to have had, I mean, it came out at a really interesting time.

It was 2010, um,

And I also will say this about myself.

I don't compliment myself too much often, but I had a curiosity, right?

And I'm very creative.

So it's always coming up with that, like, okay, what resources do I have at my disposal?

I started my private practice in Chicago, actually, because my ex-husband was going to school at Northwestern University.

And I said, I need practice people.

What am I going to do?

I actually went to the college, to the graduate school and started shoving flyers in mailboxes there.
