What are things that you can do?
What are steps that you can do so you're less likely to engage in that negative behavior or that bad habit and more likely to engage in a positive habit?
You have to really think about your future self.
It's conscious, conscious, conscious, conscious, conscious, conscious, conscious, until it becomes subconscious.
It's not going to become subconscious overnight.
It is your responsibility to train your brain to then, we're doing this long-term potentiation.
It's this neuroplasticity where we're building stronger networks and when we're kind of weakening strong ingrained networks.
So like I said, both ways to make a habit and to break a habit requires conscious attention and conscious effort.
have to be willing to do it because in the short run, it's hard.
The extinction burst, the instilling of a new behavior that requires effort.
But in the long run, it will pay off tenfold because you don't have to think about doing it and you just do it by default.
I used to vape
More than I realised at the time, I'm like, oh, but I only vape socially and this and that and this and that.
And I realised that this is like 2021 days, like early days of the podcast.
And I realised that, especially because I wasn't filming it, lol, imagine me just puffing around a vape all day while I'm filming something about like, hey, how to be healthy for your brain.
I'm inhaling fucking God knows what's in a battery probably.
And anyway, and mind you, I'm not some other Teresa.
So if you vape, like honestly, fucking no shade.
But I'm just saying that personally, I noticed that I started vaping
when I would record my podcast association association.
