There's a lot of really important things that are going on all at the same time.
So I think it would be
It's unrealistic to think nothing's going to change when you have a kid.
Like for me, I'd love to socialise with my friends as much as I did before having kids, but I simply don't.
But I do socialise quite a bit.
So I'm still very happy.
If I was to say, no, no, no, no, no, no, dig my heels in, I'm going to see everyone as much as I did before having kids, then I'm going to be quite let down.
But instead, I think, well, I still actually see my friends multiple times a week.
We're lucky that we live very close to each other.
And the times that we do get to see each other, we have a fucking ball.
And I love that.
So when you look at striking a balance, when you have things change in your life, you number one have to really own the change.
You have to say,
What can I do about this and what can I not do about it?
I also look at when the twins were born as this being a very short-lived season in the scheme of my life and I would hate to wish it away because it was difficult.
Okay.
Not to say that other people don't have it harder than me.
Everyone's in a different stage, but I can tell you with twins, it's no fucking joke when both of them are completely unsynced and you've had sleepless nights and then you've got to wake up and you're there like it's full on.
Okay.
But I heard this person say this and now I say it, I remind myself all the time.
