But since you do love your dad and he has loved you all these years, tell him what you found and give him a chance to tell you what happened.

Maybe he had a mental illness that's under control now, or he was under the influence of drugs.

Maybe he was just a bad person, I don't know.

And neither will you until you find the courage to ask him.
