And there's no age for the Redditor here who posted this, but it's like, especially when you're young, you have like adults on a pedestal and think that like they're different than how you feel.

And I think, you know, that's in her setup, just her dad was the best.
This was a huge shock.
So some of the comments here, one of them says this: I'm sorry, that's a terrible thing to find out about someone you love.
But since you do love your dad and he has loved you all these years, tell him what you found and give him a chance to tell you what happened.
Maybe he had a mental illness that's under control now, or he was under the influence of drugs.
drugs or bad people or voices in his head.
Maybe he was just a bad person, I don't know.
And neither will you until you find the courage to ask him.
