We're a little too stubborn for him.
No, but I could see such a shift in a lot of our younger players and just the structure that he wanted to provide and the philosophy that he was implementing.
And I know that you can tell that a lot of these younger players are bought in
and they're willing to do that work and they're willing to play the style that he wants to play.
And it's been so fun to watch because they do have this fun and this freedom that they're playing with because they don't feel that pressure to have to be their best all the time.
They know that they need to show up and play well, but I think they have this little chip on their shoulder and that's what's helping them play so confidently.
We love to see it.
We love to see it.
But Natalia, I mean, just hearing Ali speak about this group of players and working with Mark Skinner and what he's brought out in them.
I mean, it sounds like a coach's dream as a coach yourself.
What's impressed you the most about Manchester United, specifically in these two legs?
Ali, mentally,
as you said it's still such a young group of players but now you're in the quarter finals of the Champions League in your debut season this is where the big girls play you know what I mean mentally what does this do to these young group of players like say now even going back domestically does it just fill them with that much more confidence
Yeah, I think so.
I don't think you necessarily go in thinking that you are less experienced or a lot younger.
I think they have this go-for mentality where they have nothing to lose and they want to win and they want to play at this level and they want to prove their value.
And I think that we have been watching them now and the Champions League is just super impressed and now are so much more appreciative of the way that they play.
But something that also has been super impressive with
Men United is that they defend in layers and they fully commit together.
And I think structurally they're super compact defensively and they're willing to, you know, fight for the ball back immediately and get numbers behind the ball and then be able to go in waves again.
