And I said it to the woman and she said, I'm not, but he is.
And I thought, great, we're going to stop the gig there, talk to you two for a bit.
They actually turned out to be lovely.
It is funny doing crowd work because you do catch people at very random parts in their life.
And I think you forget just because it's your job, you do it night after night that these people might have come to a gig straight after a really big life event.
You know, those two had just started dating.
He was in the midst of a divorce.
She was about to meet his children.
And they just happened to wander into my gig.
They probably regretted it immediately.
What was fun about that show is I do an annual Valentine's Day show where the whole show is people bring kind of bad first dates and, you know, dating horror stories and we go through them as a room.
And it really is very fun because people come in their relationships.
We also get groups of single people coming.
