Up to 57, it probably was mayhem still.
We used to, as Dad said, tread on eggshells in case we upset it because we'd get the frying pan thrown at us or something.
When it quietened down, I think I must have been 1920s and I went back to art school.

We weren't woken up, but during the day, if Dad was getting dinner and he made a remark or something, Donald would tap and answer him and he'd go in the other room and there'd be a message, you know, that he wanted something.

The creepiest thing was the piano would start playing itself and directly Dad went in there, opened the door, it stopped.
