I was like getting ill all the time.

You know, I was in my body was in pain.

Like it was like my whole body was like, please, no, I don't want to let go.

But, you know, I think it'll be a process.

And ultimately, I am really excited just that it is complete and people will be able to enjoy it.

Yeah.

Oh, surprise.

That's, I mean, all of it.

I don't think my teenage self could have expected anything that has happened with Heartstopper.

I think she would be really excited that I'd made a graphic novel.

You know, that's been like a dream of mine since I was a kid.

But, you know, TV show, never would have expected that.

Just for it to have become so big.

It's just beyond any writer's wildest dreams, I think.

I don't know.

I really struggle with that question because I think I'd kind of just be like, you know, keep doing what you're doing.

Because as a teenager, you know, that's when I started writing solitaire.

And without solitaire, there would be no Heartstopper.

So I was doing something right, I think, I hope.

I think so.
