And when you get out of business on that, what do you do?
And so it's really impacting the poor, the deprived, but also the larger industries.
And that's what you get as a result of the mismanagement affecting the lives of people.
A lot of these protests that you see started
You know, it started with the issue of the water shortage dating back to about a decade ago.
We had several major uprisings that was entirely built around the shortage of water, actually in the Khuzestan province, which is next to the Persian Gulf.
And there's a major water problem there.
People started protests there, expanded to other cities.
Isfahan province, for instance, that a lot of the agriculture comes from Isfahan.
A lot of it is gone.
Why?
Because the money was channeled towards the industry that was run by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
So if you get into the details one by one, every aspect of it,
You can see the fingerprint and the footsteps of the Revolutionary Guards and, you know, getting them richer, getting them the resources, getting them the kind of industries that doesn't really impact the people in a positive way.
And you accumulate that over the years.
This is where we are.
Well, we have way beyond that point.
That's how the protests dating back to 2017 started.
You look at it, you know, of course, you talked about the intellectuals, the young people, you know, they have their own concerns because of the lack of political freedoms.
But the very foundation of much of these protests in almost the past decade has been economical.
