Yeah, I wrote it in the notes of my iPhone years ago.
This little idea came to my head and I was like, oh, quick, just write that down and smash it out in the notes of my iPhone.
It was sitting there.
for a couple of years until a publisher reached out to me wanting to do a cookbook.
I'm like, oh, actually I've got a different idea.
Yes, which was a massive challenge for me because I paint a lot on my cakes.
That's my favourite way to decorate cakes is to paint.
So I'd never painted on paper before, which I know just sounds backwards.
Most people would learn to paint on paper before they did it on a cake.
For me it was the opposite and trying to create scenes and drawings
illustrate a book like I had not done that before so it took me the better part of a year I sat down every day because I was really no good and I don't know why the publisher let me illustrate it from the original things I sent them they were atrocious but chipped away at this thing every single day practicing practicing practicing until it got to a level that right before publishing it got good enough to go

What else did you do?
So we did quite a bit of PR.
We did a few TV appearances, like Studio 10 and all that sort of fun, kitschy stuff to get it out there.
So through my Instagram platform is how I'm heavily promoting it, but also going to schools, which I'm hoping I get to do
again soon now that school is back and we can go back to a bit of normality.
