I knew that that was going to be a short-lived career if I chose to do that.

So I got to sort of the end of high school and loved writing and thought maybe a career in media.

with something I would like to do.

So I got myself into a journalism degree at the end of high school, danced full time for six months and was like, this is a really hard way to make money.

I'm not really vibing this, so I'll go to uni.

Did the journalism degree and started baking cookies as a hobby, just a pure fun outlet.

And at this time, a very crucial time, is when this platform or this platform

App on a phone called Instagram began to get some traction and I was posting those cookies and things I was baking on there and very quickly had friends and not friends, people I'd never met before, notice them and say, hey, can we order this?

Yeah, right.

I was like, oh.

pocket money.

Okay.

Like, cool.

So I very quickly, this will become a theme without much thought, registered a business name, Sweetbakes, jumped online and grabbed the website and applied to the council.

How do I set up a kitchen?

And went guns blazing at 19 years old and started Sweetbakes.

And we're still here.

It's been seven years.
