Yes, of course, this story has been all over the media, both here and in France.

It was on Tuesday, quite late in the day, about 7pm, that these two boys, aged four and five, as it later transpired, were found by the side of a road between two medium-sized towns about 100km south of Lisbon by a lone driver.

He was a baker, lived locally, and he said that they were crying.

And it later transpired, the children spent...

several hours with him and his wife and his elderly mother, as they called police, back at his bakery where they were looked after.

And it turned out that they said that they had been blindfolded and left in the woods and were told that they were to find a toy, that they were playing a game.

And when they

took off the blindfolds, they found that their mother and her partner, her companion, had disappeared.

So when they were found, they were crying.

They seemed to have been pretty well looked after by the couple and their mother.

She actually said, the elderly mother, she said that there were no signs of their having been mistreated.

They were later taken to hospital and then a court ordered that they should be placed temporarily with a foster mother.

So the couple in the meantime, the couple who had abandoned them were on Thursday detained.

Now, it transpired that their mother had 41 year old Marine R, as she's being reported as being known.

had disappeared with the children a little over a week earlier in France.

And the children's father actually made a formal complaint about this to the French authorities.

So when the children were found, of course, it did not take very long to put two and two together and work out who they were.

Well, as I say, they're very young, so they perhaps didn't have a full grasp of the gravity of the situation.

They were crying in the moment, but they seemed to cheer up, as I say, when they were back at the man's bakery.

They were not physically mistreated, as far as we know.
