Well, here's a scam to be aware of.
It's called the shut-off swindle, and it's a telephone scam.
People pose as utility workers and threaten to shut off your service claiming unpaid bills, and their goal is to get you to give them your personally identifiable information, and then they want to steal your identity.
And they'll encourage you to settle the invoice by providing account details, name, address, the last four digits of your Social Security number, and your credit card number.
