And a friend of mine called Tom, who works for a wine company, said, I'll set you up with a wine tasting on your day off.
We were like, great.
And a couple of us went and it absolutely blew my socks off.
Just the process of it and also the simplicity of it.
And I just fell in love with it because actually someone described it rather brilliantly and I can't take credit for it, but it's like...
fine wine and it's such a vast thing, but it's like sort of, it's like consumable art.
And I'm very happy with a five pound bottle of Plonk and then something else fancy that someone puts in front of me.
But the more the history kind of started to sort of, I started to understand a bit more about it and I know very, very, very, very little.
I just sort of started to sort of quietly collect it.
The reason I brought this one
is that, firstly, it's very much in its drinking window, as posh wine people would say, but it's actually from 1995, and it's from Bordeaux, and actually, so this arrived in the bottle.
So it's 1995, but it arrived in the bottle, it was poured into that bottle the year that Conor was born.
We're like, cut, we're finished, we're done.
Because this is from 1995.
So the grapes were picked and shoved in a barrel.
And then the following year, the year of your birth, that's when it is put into the bottle and sealed.
