I'm not a very good reader.

I read slowly.

My retention is awful.

I complicate both of those traits by reading too many books at the same time.

But I am an avid reader and I'm a delighted reader.

I love to read.

And I think maybe just— I know.

I love the fact that you challenge readers.

But I think that reading a lot, just by osmosis, the style of writing...

maybe that I'm gravitating toward is just the result of reading other really good writers.
