It doesn't have to undo me.
Oftentimes it does, at least for a season.
But I can prepare for this, and I can love myself through this experience.
I can accept the love of God through this experience, and I can share it with others.
And of course, when we hurt and survive, then it just opens the door for us to help others when they go through the same thing, and we can look at our experience.
It would be the one that you've already mentioned.
That if we are going to live our lives well... Mm-hmm.
We have to pray that it all comes from a well of love that can only come from God to us.
Yeah.
You know, there was a time that a lawyer asked Jesus a question, and he said, what is the great commandment?
And there were hundreds that he could have chosen from, but very quickly he responded, love God with heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
All of the law and the prophets hang on these commandments.
Yeah.
And that is what life is about.
Sometimes it's hard to know whether we're doing it well or not.
And we have to define it.
We have to figure out what it looks like if I'm an insurance salesman, a teacher, a stay-at-home mom, a pastor, a bricklayer.
Love looks different in those different settings.
But at the end of the day, I think we all want to be able to honestly put our head on the pillow and say, I loved well today.
