I think when someone's humanity in your mind goes away, you can justify anything.

So just be careful.

I'm not telling you always trust the government, always trust law enforcement, never critique a public figure.

I'm not saying that.

Like if you can't separate that from being evil, that's your problem.

James 1.27 reminds us, religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this, to visit orphans and widows in their infliction and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

I actually think that last part is maybe the most pertinent here.

Isaiah 1.17, learn to do good, seek justice, correct oppression, bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.

Psalm 68.5, father of the fatherless, protector of widows, is God in his holy habitation.
