What that lawsuit says is that the IRS can no longer go back and audit the president or his family members.
Their tax audits had to be dropped.
Now, there's two elements to this.
Cornyn and Tillis were concerned that the scope of that could be widened, meaning the president's companies or associates could also be protected with this IRS immunity.
The order that Blanche put out on Sunday night says that's not the case.
It's narrower in scope.
That's something the senators wanted to see.
Right.
So the president's been pretty clear that he's a big fan of this anti-weaponization fund.
He has made a number of public comments in recent days expressing support for the fund, saying that though the fund is dead, he wishes it could go forward.
Or even going so far as to call on Congress to come up with a way to make the fund into law.
Now, he told reporters yesterday that he had not reviewed this agreement that Blanche and Cornyn and Tillis had reached.

One of the criticisms that Cornyn and Tillis are facing for this agreement is that though it does rescind the anti-weaponization fund, it doesn't include any sort of guardrails preventing the administration from trying to revive this fund or to pay out these people in a different way.
They could just create a different fund and move forward if they wanted to.

But ultimately, there's no language in here preventing them from doing that.
And the president's comments as recently as yesterday are not doing a lot to ease concerns of some senators who are still a bit reluctant to support Blanche's nomination.
Today is a big day for Blanche.
The Senate Judiciary Committee will finally hold that committee vote that got postponed last week this morning.
