The other big thing, and you have to be, I'm perfectly okay with this.
You have to be okay with doing this in public, but is just little like a downward dog.

It's totally fine for a child to do a downward dog in a line.
Little moves like that going through a little sequence can really help.
The other thing are little games like
Let's look for something red.
And you spot how many red things and get really silly with it.
If you do it.
Just let's just find something red.
Do you see that red thing?
But instead get silly, say, Oh, is that red?
And you're pointing to something green.
You'll be like, Oh, I forgot, red isn't that color.
And so getting really silly and engaged and having these games within the waiting.
There is a piece I always say build structure into transitions and into waiting.
And you can do that with play, but you do want to help to regulate within that transition and help to have an expectation of how long they're going to be waiting.
Because if not, it just feels like they're going to wait.
for an eternity to them.
And it's very, very hard.
