And if you have so many toys, all it does to a child who has any sort of

difficulty with regulation is they're gonna jump from toy to toy to toy to toy.

It's not gonna teach them to play.

We're trying to increase attention and teach a child to play.

But if they have a million options,

How are they going to choose one when they already have difficulties with regulation?

If they have five options, it's much easier to pick one.

If the walls are too overstimulating, how are they going to focus on playing when they're visually distracted?

And we know that this is a difficult area for many of our kids.

So keeping things really, really simple.

I always say having a cozy regulation corner.

where you've eliminated all it's either a tent something that you've eliminated all visual input and you go in.

And it's more of a calming area and their bodies know I can go there to calm, but it's never a timeout and never a punishment.

It's always their option to go there.
