But the reason why people struggle comes down to the emotional side of money, the choices we have to make, the things that we tell ourselves about money, what we've learned about money in the past, how that impacts us.
So it is only normal.
It's only natural for you to be impacted emotionally and to feel discouraged, to feel frustrated, to feel like, oh, what am I doing wrong whenever you use your emergency fund?
Because you are seeing that balance, that bank account balance that you worked hard.
You did.
You worked hard to get it up to that number.
Go down.
And that is a gut punch.
It is because what you might be seeing is the money gone, but what you are really seeing is the time, the energy, the sacrifices that you made to get that money where it was in the first place.
This is normal.

totally normal for you to feel this way.
It does not mean you are a failure.
It does not mean that you are bad at something.
This is normal.
And while this is a completely natural feeling, I think that it's really easy for us to sit in this place.
And I know because I've done this myself, sit in this place of, oh, I had to use my emergency fund and now I have to build it back up.
