I just loved it. Movies were not cinema the way it is now either. My parents would bring us to movies. My father brought us to every Peter Sellers movie and Walter Matthau Jack Lemmon movie that came out, to whom I owe my appreciation of that kind of humor. But I don't know. I never broke it down. But I would say yes, definitely, and probably still the reason.

They weren't self-aware of being a comedy geek culture. There probably is now. That sort of didn't exist at all. They just happened to be the pure... unadulterated, brilliant science major, pre-med major, law major geeks who loved Monty Python and who loved Firesign Theater. And it was like, what are they talking about? But those are the first people I met that I was really tuned into that comedy.
