Before you joined, we just went through a lot of the history of abortion as a centuries long bait and switch in which political operatives have been using it as a chess piece for a fight that actually isn't about abortion.
Since attacks on abortion are actually not about abortion, and since we are still ostensibly fighting over abortion, what are we actually fighting about right now?
A hard conversation because of impacts on people's lives and also just the spiritual impact of knowing that your country doesn't value you and your daughters.
And so I think.
think it would be lovely to not hide the good news because I feel like we don't focus on the very good news, which is that the vast majority of people are on our side.
Like, can we talk about the problems that the extremists are facing to start?
What are the extremist anti-abortionists problems right now in America?
You can't ever make me feel pessimistic about this issue because of the people who are so willing to show up for the people who need health care.
That is such a powerful image to hold in our heads and to know that we can join in.
And I think you'd give so much very practical information to folks who feel like this is such a huge issue and what can I do?
And I think it was cool for me to hear that the most effective thing you can do with your dollars and your time are in the very micro local organizations.

If I am in my little town in Virginia, how do I know where to show up?
How do I know where to send my money?
Because I give to the big organizations on the top and then some of them that I've heard of, but I don't know what my local ones are.
