Yeah, I think what's leaving people feeling a bit concerned is what is the long-term plan?
How long is the U.S.
going to be involved with helping to run the country?
And what does that mean in terms of regime change?
But I think overall, the argument for taking out Maduro has nothing but upside in the short term, right?
Because
You have millions of Venezuelans who have left the country, 8 million over the past 10 years, plus the people who weren't able to leave who are celebrating his ouster and are thrilled that they finally have their country back from this dictator.
You also have, of course, the strategic reasons for taking Venezuela back.
You mentioned the oil, but also just generally the security and safety of the Western Hemisphere should be of utmost importance to the American people.
This is the classic Monroe Doctrine, which now is the Donrow Doctrine, right, according to the president.
And I think most importantly, though.
What this does is it recreates a relationship with Venezuela that were previously they were more in bed with China and Russia.
And I saw Rahim Kassam put this really well in a comment to Axios where he said, if Venezuela is going to be a puppet, wouldn't we rather than be a puppet for the United States than for Russia and China?
I think that's exactly right.
And on this point about the military, it's so important because when we saw the Afghanistan withdrawal, we saw Lloyd Austin breaking the chain of command and disappearing, wearing a Darth Vader mask during COVID, the firings due to the Vax mandates, the DEI, the transgender troops,
