Yeah, it's been a hard time for the community overall under this administration.
It isn't the first time that we've had to come together as a community and try and fight for our human rights.
And now, especially, it's not just affecting the queer community, but many other communities.
And I think that
We are able to support each other in a way that we didn't have to before.
And because of that, it's made us a lot stronger.
I hope I can use my platform and my voice throughout these games to try and encourage people to stay strong in these hard times.

I don't think that we should underestimate what that could mean.
Because in some people's mind, that means, well, you're going to have to Xerox or photocopy your ID to send it in to prove you are who you are.
Well, there are a whole lot of people, especially people who live in rural communities, who don't.
There's no Kinkos.
There's no Office Max near them.
People have to understand that when we're talking about voter ID laws, be clear about who you have in mind and what would be required of them to prove who they are.
